"It is my sincere honor to hold the office of Butler County Auditor. I thank the voters for entrusting me with this responsibility. From a young age, my parents instilled in me the significance of public service, and my education and experience have provided the foundation to serve you well.

As your County Auditor, nothing is more important to me than providing high-quality customer service. Residents and taxpayers can expect honesty, competency, transparency, dependability, and accessibility from our office. "

-Nancy

Biography

Nancy was sworn in as Butler County Auditor on February 13, 2023, and was elected in November 2024 to the two-year unexpired term. Prior to her appointment as Auditor, she served as Butler County Treasurer for nearly 16 years.

Education and Experience

Nancy’s education and professional experience have prepared her for the statutory responsibilities of County Auditor. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Accounting and Marketing from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO (1992) and acquired her CPA license. She earned her MBA from Miami University in August 2012. Additionally, Nancy is a graduate of the Jo Ann Davidson Leadership Institute (2003) and two Butler County Chamber Leadership programs—Middletown (2000) and Hamilton (2006).

Upon her swearing-in as Auditor, Nancy quickly became involved in the County Auditors’ Association of Ohio (CAAO). She was elected Secretary/Treasurer of the CAAO’s Southwest District in 2024 and Vice President of the Southwest District in 2025. In 2026 she was elected statewide as Third Vice-President of the association. She also serves on the statewide CAAO Legislative Committee and the Ad Hoc Property Tax and Valuation Committee.

During her tenure as County Treasurer (2007–2023), Nancy served as a board member of the County Treasurers’ Association of Ohio (CTAO) from 2016–2021 and was President in 2020. She also served on the CTAO Legislative Committee from 2007–2023 and as Secretary/Treasurer of the Southwest Ohio District Treasurers’ Association. In 2012, she played a key role in establishing the Butler County Land Reutilization Corporation (Land Bank), which has received millions in blight funding.

Before serving as County Treasurer, Nancy worked as a Private Banking Manager at U.S. Bank, a staff accountant at Clark, Schaefer, Hackett & Co., CPAs, and Plant Controller for Corson Packaging of Ohio. She also served as a Middletown City Council Member for four years (2002–2005), including two years as Vice Mayor.

Community involvement has always been a priority for Nancy, a value learned from her parents. She has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children with the nonprofit Parachute/CASA and served multiple terms on the Middletown Civil Service Commission. Currently, she is Secretary/Treasurer of her neighborhood homeowner association, serves on the Government Relations Task Force for the Chamber of Commerce (Middletown, Monroe, and Trenton), and is an active member of the Butler County Republican Party.
