Nancy Nix returned fees to local governments in two years under Nancy's leadership: $5.33 million ($2.65 million for the 2023 tax year and $2.68 million during the 2024 tax year. These fees are usually returned in August during the second half property tax collection cycle.

As part of her commitment to transparency, accessibility and education, Nancy Nix has held multiple townhall meetings since becoming Auditor. This is in addition to additional community events and engagements.

Nancy Nix's commitment to taxpayers is demonstrated in her administration of the office. She reduced staff by 10% since becoming Auditor.

Each year, Weights & Measures inspectors appointed by the Auditor test more than 7,000 devices including gas pumps and cash registers. Look for the Auditor's inspection sticker on weighing and measuring devices.

Butler County's $14 dog tag fee is among the lowest in the state, and the license cost has not increased since 2003. Of Ohio's 88 counties, 41 charge a license fee of $20 or more.
